Joie de vivre

A wooden dining table set with glasses, napkins, and silverware in a cozy restaurant with brick and wooden interior decor.

It all begins with an idea and when two couples and their friend met for a Sunday family dinner, La Bonne Vache was born. La Bonne Vache, which translates to “the good cow” in French, has now transformed the sandwich slinging haunt, Booeymongers, in Georgetown.

With a fresh new look designed by Partner, Rachel Aikens, and an incredibly enticing menu created by her husband and Chef/Partner, Robert Aikens, this cozy corner spot has something for everyone (including your kids).

Crème de la crème

A round marble table set for a meal with two forks, a knife, a striped cloth napkin, a white plate, two glasses of water, and two small glass bottles, with a wooden chair and green patterned tiled floor.
A top view of a table with Mexican dishes, including deviled eggs with piped yolk filling, a plate of green olives with red peppers, and a basket of fried meatballs with a dipping sauce, on a decorative tile surface.

While paying homage to Booeymongers, La Bonne Vache hopes to fill the sandwich sized hole in your hearts as your newest favorite neighborhood corner bistro with much to offer. A food menu executed by Chef Scheyla Acosta, with traditional French entree dishes guised as burgers and sandwiches and a beverage program to compliment by Operating Partners Ari & Claire Wilder, this team of hospitality all-stars knows what they’re doing.

On any given day you can find our General Manger/Partner Guillermo Roa, a friend and long-time colleague of the Wilder’s, making sure that your service is of the highest standard, and Co-Creator/Partner Amanda Klingler somewhere at the bar talking about how this is her new favorite place to eat.
